Featured Artist: Arti Chauhan

Arti is a self-taught artist with special interest in portraits and figurative work. Being born and brought up in India, she now lives in the United Kingdom. She has been drawing since she was six but trained as an animator instead and worked in Computer Animation for more than two decades. It was just a few years ago that her passion for art was rekindled and she started drawing and painting full time. She has always been intrigued by human face and the endless range of emotions that it’s capable of displaying. While she uses various mediums to capture these emotions; charcoal and pencil are her favourite. Her work had been widely appreciated within the local community and she has held many exhibitions in the Basingstoke area since 2011.
