Featured Artist: Helen Frost

Helen Frost works primarily from the human figure, seeking sublime gestures with emotional resonance.

I am fascinated by the experience of drawing, its capacity for transformation and its ability to communicate aspects of presence beyond words.

Helen works across a range of traditional media, including charcoal, oil paint and clay, whilst remaining focused primarily on the figure. After her initial training as an Architect, Helen studied intensively at the London Atelier of Representational Art (LARA) and at Studio Escalier in Paris and Argenton, France. She is currently studying independently, undertaking a range of master studies from works by Lawrence, Rubens and Vandyck. Helen is the creator of the blog Metadrawer: Thinking about the experience of drawing.
